Principals message

Dear Parents,

I welcome all the Parents and Children to Mysticicons preschool .I feel that you will discover that Mystic icons is a place where your children will grow, learn and be loved .

Although I am not their parent, I care for them each day. I cuddle, sing, & read to them And watch them as they play. I see each new accomplishment And help them grow and learn. They come to me for comfort. But my role is just as strong. I know some day the time will come,

I soothe away their tears. They proudly show their work to me. I give the loudest cheers. No, I am not their parent,

When we may have to part. But I know each child I have cared for, Is forever in my heart.

Every child is like a seed which has the potential to grow if it is nourished with love and care under the right guidance. At Mystic Icons we view each child as creative, capable and curious learners. Children learn in so many ways, and we feel that children should learn in an environment that is suitable to each child versus the classroom as a whole. The environment plays a huge role in our school.

We believe in encouraging the children to use good manners, to be kind, to be respectful of one another, to be creative, to learn how to socialize with others, and to be interested in learning. Our school day is built around routine. During the day, the children explore academics (letters, sounds, and numbers, science found in nature, our community, art-based projects, and music) as well as social learning. The children also participate in weekly enrichment classes, which include music and movement, art, library and science, physical education, and drama.

Just as the children are encouraged to collaborate, we encourage parents to collaborate with us as well. Parents are always welcome into our school, and we look forward to seeing family and friends at all of our special events. We all together are part of Mystic family. Communication between parents, teachers, and administration is ongoing. Parents are encouraged to be a part of their children’s school lives through involvement in various activities.
